| In February 2002 LIKE A TIM travelled from Rotterdam to Berlin to record the vocal-tracks for all "Bass Girl" songs within 5 days in my flat. Most time I was sitting on my bed and Tim situated himself + equipment on a chair in front of the window behind the bed while recording. The idea to record cover-versions
of the most famous 60s girl-group-classics was even older... In 1998
          LIKE
A TIM called me on the telephone
and told me about his plan, asking if I was into recording these songs
with him. As I adore his music/art I was curious how it would sound
          if
LIKE A TIM jumps into the Spector-World.
It took a quite a long time to record because the noise-level was very high outside: A kindergarden in the backyard and an old man who was cutting wood with an old saw. I still wonder what he did with all that wood. When I listened to the result a few months ago I didn't know what to think - I never heard something like this before. The picture I had in my head was a dry umbrella in the rain. No decoration at all.
LIKE A TIM is a very special person
in every way. Sound by sound-always. Absolute Bass Spector addiction
          in this case. LIKE
A TIM is true - he doesn't need more
than overloading the minimum. -Peace- | |
